Connect 3: Mini May Focus Teaching Skills to Enhance Teen Girl Wellness
Updated: Sep 1, 2021
KS Services hosted the third session of our outdoor mini May focus group for teen girls this past Sunday. Led by Licensed Resident in Counseling Laura Waller, she took the group on a walk today to practice mindfulness - using a Polaroid camera to capture the moments when their senses were focused on one single thing.
Being present is a skill that helps us regulate our emotions and avoid spending too much time thinking about things we cannot control or change.
KS Services is so excited about offering this opportunity for young women in our community.
If you or anyone you know would be interested in KS Services hosting a similar group for tween girls or teen/tween boys in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
