Our Approach
KS Services is a multifaceted evidence-based counseling center. We provide a personalized approach and quality care to help clients make positive changes in their lives. We commit to training and equipping the next generation of clinicians through our residency program so they can provide individualized quality care in our community.
KS Services utilizes an integrated approach to move towards the positive change a client desires. Clinicians will implement evidenced-based techniques - including Gottman Method, cognitive behavioral therapy, and faith when desired - to create a connection in a safe, comforting environment. A supportive therapeutic relationship is essential for growth and transformation. KS Services focuses on individualized support where clinicians seek to use a client’s strengths to personalize services in an meaningful and effective way. Clinicians at KS Services desire to connect with you in such a way that you feel heard, respected, and cared for. ​
Our Story
KS Services began in 2016 when owner and operator, Lauran Thomas, began working towards the mission of increasing the availability of quality counseling and individualized care in her community. Lauran desired to create an environment where the needs of the client were prioritized through unique service options ranging from talk therapy to walking therapy to ESA support and group options. The name KS Services stems from the word keystone - a central stone at the summit of an arch that provides support, and balance. Processing life with
a trained clinician who meets you where you are provides support and balance as you use your own strengths to move towards positive change in your life. In 2019, KS Services began strategically training and equipping interns and residents in providing quality counseling and care in order to grow a broader spectrum of opportunities for the community. KS Services expanded again in 2020 to serve clients in Virginia and Colorado with a continued mission to increase the availability of quality care and individualized support.
