Project CONNECT

KS Services is excited to announce a group therapy opportunity for teen girls ages fourteen to seventeen.  Project CONNECT is a group designed to help girls focus on self-compassion and connection through the use of movement, art, and narrative work.  Girls will meet for six weeks on Saturday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am. The first Saturday will be September 10th, and it will run through October 15th.

The acronym CONNECT will guide the sessions as teens will learn to:

Cultivate self-compassion

Observe their feelings

Notice cognitive distortions

Nurture kindness

Examine possibilities

Connect with others

Think differently. Talk to others. Take time for yourself.

Parents and caregivers of the teens will commit to meeting three times for a thirty-minute group that will focus on psychoeducation regarding mental health concerns in teens. The parent sessions will occur on September 17th, October 1st, and October 8th immediately following the teen group session. Education will provide specific examples for support in the home including use of validation and connection opportunities.  Parents and caregivers will be given resources and tools to utilize immediately in the home that are centered on research regarding positive childhood experiences.

Pricing: $225 per family registration

$30/session x 6 sessions for girls // 60 minutes/group

$15/session x 3 session for parents // 30 minutes each parent/caregiver education session 

$225 is the price of the entire program including all teen group sessions and all parent/caregiver education sessions. Price also includes materials and resources provided for teens and parents.

For any family who desires follow up support, a 1.5-hour family session at a reduced cost of $100 is available and can be held at any point after the group work is complete. This session would serve as an evaluation of program goals and will provide space for individualized goal setting at the culmination of the group.
